Abstract- In this chapter the soldiers finally have a resting period. The soldiers hear a fellow soldier named Jimmie Rodgers crying out in pain. Wilson thinks there is a stream around so Henry and Wilson decide to go find it. They couldn't find a stream, but did find a place where they could see a large portion of the battle taking place. They can see soldiers getting into formation and a general almost running over a wounded soldier. They can then hear a general talking about who they really don't need and they talk about the 304th regiment which is the regiment Henry's at. Wilson and Henry thought they were almost unstoppable and didn't like the comment.
Response- I think the generals comment was not very professional at all saying that they'll just die and aren't worth any thing. I figured they would try to strengthen it not just send them all to die.
Question- Why do they think that the 304th cannot win?
