Abstract- The chapter begins with the tattered man amazed with how Jim just got up and ran when he should be so weak from his injury. He then tells Henry how he is feeling not to good, but isn't gonna die soon cause he has a family. He thinks Henry is his friend Tom Jamison and says he should have his wounds looked at. Henry then walks away from the tattered man as the man calls out to him as Henry climbs a fence angry. He fears he is going to die and Henry seems not to care.
Response- I think that Henry needed to stay with him because he is really all he had left and that just wasn't the right thing to do.
Question- Why does he choose to run away from the tattered man?
